Winter/Spring 2017 [12:1]

Among a grove of quaking aspen, what appear to be individual trees are indivisibly interconnected and genetically identical. The many stems, or ramets, that rise from the subterranean universe of Pando’s root are expressions of the one. This is the kind of surprising connection we set out to explore in the current issue of Sojourns.
